Sadie, getting what she wants. To eat ice cream on the floor. All by herself!

Such a girl. And she has us all wrapped around her little finger. Especially her brothers. They love her so much. I get a kick out of how hard Caden can laugh just by watching her. He thinks everything she does is just so funny.

Boys being boys

You would think they don't have any toys.

Snow day, Yippee!!

Sorry no pictures. Travis had the camera at work the last few days. We woke up Monday morning to white all around. Our neighbors called and told us that school was cancelled. Caden thought that was the greatest thing. "So school is cancelled just so we can play in the snow all day?" And thats exactly what we did. We could'nt have been more surprised when we woke up Tuesday morning to the same thing!! Travis even came home from work and helped us all build a snow fort. The kids started and were great helps, but Trav and I were laughing because we ended up building it ourselves. I am amazed at how beautiful the pinetrees are all covered in snow. I remember reading about Flagstaff before I went to school there. The thing I was most surprised with was it claimed to have blue skies 364 days a year. So far its true. Even when it does get cloudy, it will clear up by the afternoon and the sky will be bright blue. I am really affected by cloudy, gray skies. I am so greatful for a little thing like the blue sky!!

Thanksgiving in Scottsdale

Boy it was hard trying to get the five grandkids to take a decent picture with Grandma. Look at Sadie, she was so difficult to work with.

O
Our yummy thanksgiving dinner. The best part was.....No dishes!!

We went for a walk in the evening. Trav and I sat on this rock and gave the camera to Caden. He took some really good pictures considering it was dark and he couldn't see thru the lens.
We want to thank
Grandma Reber for the fun thanksgiving. We had such a good time basically relaxing and swimming. Its amazing to be able to drive two hours south for 85-90 degree weather. We went down Monday night and stayed until Friday. On Thanksgiving we swam most of the day and then went to Hometown Buffet. Then came back and watched football and swam some more. Travis, Michelle (Trav's sister), and I woke up early Friday morning and were at Wal-Mart by 5am. This was Travis' first "black friday" experience. He was really excited when he was able to grab the last Ice Age 2 for 5 bucks. I thinks he's hooked.

This is why I want my own camera!

This is what I have to put up with. I'm looking through the pictures of my cute kids and then one of these pop up. This guy is a diabetic who had just healed some pretty bad ulcers on his feet when he tripped going up stairs and just about tore his toe off. He broke his bone and tore it most of the way around. I know, gross! Travis is lengthening this 12 yr. old girls 4th toe with this external fixater. She has to turn it 1 mm everyday for the next few months as it lengthens the bone.

Hey baby, how'd you get that hole?

My puzzle boy!

I love watching Matthew concentrate on these puzzles. He won't quit until he gets it done. And its one of the few things he won't let me help (which is fine with me.)

Hey hey hey, so far so good huh?

So Michelle tagged me and I am suppose to write things that I like. Alright here goes, maybe I will list something you never knew about me.
First of all I love my Dad. I love his permagrin and I think he is the cutest dad ever. I love my family. I love doing things together. I love surprising the kids like pulling up to DQ to get a dilly bar after school. I love when Travis calls me to come eat lunch with him. I love going out alone with Travis. I love being creative to help the kids like to practice (well, I just like it when it works .) I love blue Sky's. I love big o long bike rides. Like all day. Like bring a sleeping bag and go down the coast (Ive never done that, but I know I would love it.) I would love to rent a motorcycle with Travis and go for a weekend. I love to make my bed. I like new sheets. I love new socks. I love shoes- OK, I love to shop. I loved Michelle's birthday party when just the girls went out. I like to get to know people. I love people who inspire me. I loved teaching relief society. I love the motivation it gave me to study and pray for inspiration. I love feeling the spirit. I love when my kids recognize the spirit. I love my fun memories of priest lake. I love going to any lake on a nice day. I love running with my mom and sisters on Thanksgiving morning. I love feeling red and sweaty after a run (I know, gross! But I love it) I do love to shower. I love planning vacations. I love not having a sore throat. I know this will sound crazy, but I like to do laundry. I love organized closets. I love having a girl and dressing her up. I love to smell things ( things like a new book, a pencil box, the smell of new paint, etc) I love playing in the symphony. I love practicing for it. I love visiting Travis at work. I love seeing him interact with his patients. I love to pack a lunch and swim with the kids in the summer. I loved our summer here. I love summer vacation. I hate back to school signs. I love a fireplace and hot chocolate. I love the feeling I get before a 5k (and after.) I love having a good book to look forward to in the evenings. I'm on harry potter 4. I know, its kind of tough reading. I love to go out to eat. I think my favorite thing to do is to vacation with family. Someday, we should all hike Havasupai. I love visitors. I love the smell of a newborn. I love finding out I'm pregnant. (I'm not, but its always so exciting.) I love having an ultrasound to find out what were having. I love the day of the delivery. I don't like postpardom, staying in the house for two weeks. I really like going to the beach. I love cuddling up with my kids to read. I love my red crockpot. i love to make dinner in the mornings. Alright now that you are all asleep, I think I'm done.

Travis's very talented sister, Celeste took these of the kids

Sadies personality is coming out so much. I am afraid we have another ham on our hands. Its fun to watch her play with the boys. She loves to sing her goodnight song to them everynight. "so long, farewell its time for me to go-o. I must I must I must get my princess sleep." Ya, it doesnt work very well but she loves it and the boys laugh every time.

I am so grateful Caden is our oldest. He is such a good kid. He is so nice to his younger brother. He also likes the responsibility that comes with being the oldest.

I love this picture of Matthew. He is seriously our knucklehead boy. He loves His older brother and is always trying to make him laugh. They really are good buds. I love the time I have with him when Caden is at school and Sadie is a sleep.

ALL RIGHT, I KNOW IM HORRIBLE OK?

I am so bad because I spend so much time reading and enjoying all of your blogs and have no time left over for my own. I love all of your blogs and I have the best family ever. I am so excited for Renae and her baby girls. And congratulation to Sarah. I love the name--Alexander! I just noticed Erin has a blog so I'm excited to read hers. And of course, Heidi and Justins blog is so much fun. I love reading my Moms and sisters (Laurie included.) So I am vowing (is that how you spell it?) to be better at mine. Ok, maybe not vowing. But I hope I will be better.

There is no buddy like a brother

Our first suzuki play-in

Oops sorry about the blurry picture. Caden did really well. He played up to perpetual motion. The boy next to him is also in is school class. Ya I know, Matthew is having problems with his violin hold. He had a good time though. They were especially excited to notice an ice cream/bakery parlor right out side the auditorium. I do have a video, but it is really dark so I will just film them later and send it.

Our redneck camping trip

We decided to put to use Travis's Dads pop-up trailor. We drove about 5 miles from our house and set up camp. We roasted hotdogs and smores, the boys played baseball, and Sadie just chilled. Oh and Travis took us spotlighting when it got dark. Spotlighting is the ultimate redneck activity. We have a monster spotlight, we pile in the redneck truck and shine it out the windows hoping to see deer and elk. The boys had a blast and Sadie was amused. We woke up Sat. morning and had blueberry pancakes, eggs, sausage and hot chocolate. We wanted to go on a bike ride, but forgot to bring the hitch for the bike trailor. So we just drove 5 miles home to get it. It was a pretty fun adventure.

Sadie walking on the sidewalk

Sadie just learning to walk and talk. She just decided on her 18 month mark to the day that she would walk. It was like she knew she probably should start to walk. She is also learning to say a few words. I thought this video was funny. If it works I will send more!!

Camping in Kanab

The boys had a great time with their scooby do and spiderman fishing poles. They acually caught a fair amount of fish. We went up for Labor day weekend with Travis' Dad and Janice, Mark and Celeste. Brad and Carena drove down from Colorado. It took them 11 hours. We had a good time playing cards, fishing, biking, going on 4 wheeler rides, and reading good books. Caden and I read the first volume of Harry Potter. Its a really cute book!!

Our Flagstaff home

We are falling in love with mountain living. We love the pine trees, the squirrels and deer that live with us. I told Travis that I feel like we are on vacation everyday. I love walking outside and smelling the fresh air. It brings back memories of pulling up to priest lake, stepping out of the van and smelling the pine trees. I guess thats why I think I'm just on vacation. I can't wait to be able to use our fireplace on those chilly mornings. We love the forest right across the street (the boys think its ours.)
