This picture of our snow was taken on our way to St. George. I just had to get out of this stuff. Travis had a Pod conf. in Park City. I had planned on going up with him, but when we got in St. George I could'nt leave. It was so nice to get out and exercise. We ran/walked the "stop sign" twice (6 miles). Exercising outside is like one big anti-depressant pill. The fresh air, running with good company, and the feeling at the end is one of my favorite things to do. I love it!!
She has done so much for me. I remember when I first packed my jetta and moved to Flagstaff. I was planning on staying for the semester, but really needed to get a scholarship to pay for it first. I was staying with an older lady for free rent if I agreed to help her out. I had no idea that she wanted me to come everytime she blew her whistle. When she asked me to help her use the bathroom I just about died. I kept my car packed because I basically wanted to go home. I knew I needed to see if I could get the scholarship first though before I let myself go home. If I couldn't, great I was going home. So I went to my audition with Louise Scott, the director of the music program. She had me play for her then told me she wastn't sure I could get a scholarship for the winter semester, but had a better chance for the fall. I was actually excited I couldn't get anything so I could go home knowing at least I had tried. The next morning Dr. Scott called right before I was about to leave and said they had enough to pay for me if I wanted to start this semester. I was seriously going out the door for home when she called. I didn't know what to think. I was so excited to go home that day, plus I didn't think I could handle another day of answering to a whistle. To make a long story short, I ended up staying (not with the older lady) and met Travis a month after that. Thanks Dr. Scott!! Can you imagine if I had missed her call and went home? I am just so grateful to a Heavenly Father who knew He needed to keep me in Flagstaff.
