Why we went to St. George

This picture of our snow was taken on our way to St. George. I just had to get out of this stuff. Travis had a Pod conf. in Park City. I had planned on going up with him, but when we got in St. George I could'nt leave. It was so nice to get out and exercise. We ran/walked the "stop sign" twice (6 miles). Exercising outside is like one big anti-depressant pill. The fresh air, running with good company, and the feeling at the end is one of my favorite things to do. I love it!!
I am so excited for warmer weather. It was 51 today. And tomorrow is going to be the same. But on Tuesday it is suppose to snow again. Its nice to have a sneak peek of spring though. We just finished our symphony concert on Friday. We had the violinist Lara St. John perform the Shostakovich concerto. It was amazing and so inspiring to watch her play. I keep waiting for Serena Mckinney to come and perform with us. Wouldn't that be fun Mom? Well, we have 6 more days before the boys graduate. I am so proud of Caden. He has worked so hard on Gavotte. I think he is ready. Matthew on the other hand well, Im just still not sure. I'm going to work really hard with him this week and see how it goes. I know he will be disappointed if I don't let him graduate. I asked Caden if he wants to continue the violin after graduation. He really does so I think I will see if Louise Scott will teach him and maybe Matthew in the fall. I need new ideas. Louise was my teacher when I came to NAU. She is the concertmistress in the Flagstaff symphony. She also started the suzuki teacher training program at NAU which is what took me to Flagstaff. So really she is responsible for Travis and I meeting!
She has done so much for me. I remember when I first packed my jetta and moved to Flagstaff. I was planning on staying for the semester, but really needed to get a scholarship to pay for it first. I was staying with an older lady for free rent if I agreed to help her out. I had no idea that she wanted me to come everytime she blew her whistle. When she asked me to help her use the bathroom I just about died. I kept my car packed because I basically wanted to go home. I knew I needed to see if I could get the scholarship first though before I let myself go home. If I couldn't, great I was going home. So I went to my audition with Louise Scott, the director of the music program. She had me play for her then told me she wastn't sure I could get a scholarship for the winter semester, but had a better chance for the fall. I was actually excited I couldn't get anything so I could go home knowing at least I had tried. The next morning Dr. Scott called right before I was about to leave and said they had enough to pay for me if I wanted to start this semester. I was seriously going out the door for home when she called. I didn't know what to think. I was so excited to go home that day, plus I didn't think I could handle another day of answering to a whistle. To make a long story short, I ended up staying (not with the older lady) and met Travis a month after that. Thanks Dr. Scott!! Can you imagine if I had missed her call and went home? I am just so grateful to a Heavenly Father who knew He needed to keep me in Flagstaff.

My under roos boy!

I just had to post these. Matthew got soooo excited when I bought him some power ranger under roos. Look at his face, he really thinks he is a power ranger. He doesnt think they are underwear and loves to wear them anytime he can. He loves to wear his swimming suit too in the middle of the winter. He also thinks he is seriously the fastest kid around. He says he has to take care of his fast feet. He loves to play this game where he runs back and forth from Sadies room to ours. We will be sitting on the couch watching tv or in the kitchen and when we see him run we know its our cue to say "Trav, did you just see something?" He will do it over and over. He thinks he is so fast we dont even see him. He is such a fun kid.

St. George Fun!

My computer wont let me download any pictures right now. Thanks to Michelle for making my blog look really cute. She is determined to keep us all going on our blogs. Everytime I talk to her she reminds me that I have'nt updated my blog. I might have to start screaning her calls. JK It actually makes me feel good that she is interested in my everyday life. And lately it hasn't been very exciting. We just keep getting more and more snow. Infact tomorrow is another snow day for the kids. They will have missed 6 days of school now because of snow. I am really grateful that I have symphony. It is such a nice break from the house and kids. I leave at 6:45 and get home at 9:45 so the kids are already in bed. And Travis will usually have the house clean when I get home.
We had so much fun in St. George last week. The boys played so hard that they slept the entire way home. If you read Michelle's blog you will know that we are both having BOY'S! Can you believe it? If you have any cute boy names let me know. We have no idea!! I have girl names but not boys. Well, I will try again to post pictures of St. George tomorrow. I just wanted to post a little something before Michelle calls.

Sorry for slacking!!

Man oh man Im a big slacker. Ok, this is my excuse - every free minute I have I usually run for the couch to lay down with a blanket. I am now 12 weeks pregnant and am just now starting to feeling a little better ( I think). I don't know what it is because all three of my sisters don't get this sick. I really think I am the biggest baby!! I am just grateful it doesnt last all 9 months. We know its not twins because, get this, I HAVE AN ULTRASOUND MACHINE IN MY HOME!!! How funny is that? When I was about 9 weeks Travis just remembered that he made his Dad buy one last year for the office. They haven't really learned how to use it so he brought it home to try out on me. We could see the baby right away. It has been so fun to watch it grow and move around. My sister Michelle is about 16 weeks so we are going to take it to her house on Wed. to see if we can see what she's having. So if anyone wants to see there baby come on over. I mean really, who has an ultrasound machine?! Don't you think I should start a business with this? I mean I could set up a booth in the mall. jk
I am so excited to spend a few days in St. George. Sometimes just a different environment makes you feel better.
Well, here I am apoligizing again. But I will be better. We just bought a laptop and now I can sit on the couch by the fire to blog.
